This term we have lots of clubs on offer, including:

Monday am and Wednesday am – Dance club with Coach Faye

Tuesday am – Judo Club with Summit Judo

Monday pm and Tuesday pm – Football club with Basingstoke Football Club

Tuesday pm – Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 tag rugby training

Thursday am – gymnastics with Coach Ashley

Thursday pm – multi-skills for KS1


KS1 Football Festival
A group of KS1 children went to a football festival at The Vyne School. All the children played really well and enjoyed playing lots of games against different schools. In a couple of weeks there will be a football competition where there will be a more competitive element.

The Year 3/4 and Year 5/6 tag rugby teams played at their final fixture of the year at the Sparkling Rugby Festival. Both teams played brilliantly with excellent teamwork, resilience and determination. The Year 5/6 team were narrowly beaten in the quarter finals but retained the league title for the 4th year running. Well done everyone!

Quad Kids Athletics
A group of Year 6 children attended the quad kids athletics competition where they all had to do a long distance run, a sprint, a throw and a jump. The children had a great time and were 6th overall.

Year 3/4 Tennis
Three tennis teams attended the Year 3/4 competition at Totally Tennis. All the teams reached the quarter finals, with everyone showing super determination. Team A showed excellent skill and focus and were crowned the overall winners. They will now go on to represent Basingstoke at the Hampshire Games in June. Fantastic effort by everyone!

Upcoming Events
Tuesday 21st May – Two trigolf teams will compete at the Trigolf competition. They will play a variety of different games, including putting and chipping the ball.
Ultimate Frisbee – we are hoping to introduce this new school games sport to lessons soon!

In Class
Class 1 are practising their multi-skills, using different equipment. As well as this they are having Judo Gymnastics with Coach Paul. Everyone is really enjoying learning new skills and developing their confidence.

Class 2 are also have Judo gymnastics with Coach Paul. They are learning how to land safely after rolling and are also gaining confidence.

Class 3 have been learning Maypole and Country dancing to show at the annual May Festival. There has been lots of concentration and teamwork required to produce the correct pattern around the maypole. They have also been learning trigolf and developing their putting and chipping skills. Next week they will be having a class competition!

Class 4 have been also learning trigolf skills, ready for their competition next week!
