The whole school had fun doing some Judo workshops with Coach Paul from Summit Judo. We learnt how to fall down safely and how to do a hold. Paul explained that he has a club in school and also at the Chute Pavilion on a Friday evening which children could join.
3 Year 6 leaders went to Silchester Primary School to teach their Year 6s how to play Tri-Golf. They showed excellent leadership and explained each of the games very clearly. We are now looking forward to having a competition with the children at Silchester sometime in the Spring Term.
KS1 Skipping Competition
A group of KS1 children went to a skipping competition at Costello School. They had to perform individually and in pairs as well as doing a freestyle event! The children worked very hard and came 1st overall! This a super achievement and means we retain the title. Super work everyone.
Year 3/4 Tag rugby and Year 5/6 Girls’ Football
The Year 3/4 tag rugby team played a friendly with Castle Hill and worked very well as a team. They realised the importance of working as a team and staying in their formation! Well done everyone! The Year 5/6 girls also played football against Castle Hill. They used all their skills and tactics that they have been learning this half term with Mr Moria. They came away with a 7 – 1 win! Super skills, well done!
Class 1 have been learning all about different shapes in their gymnastics. They have looked at how to make these shapes really strong.
Class 2 have been practising their skipping ready for the competition. They have also been looking at gymnastics routines, including balancing and shapes. This will be good practise for the gymnastics competition in January!
Class 3 have been swimming at the aquadrome. Everyone is working really hard to improve their strokes and all are becoming more confident in the water. They have also been developing their own dragon dance which they hope to show to the rest of school at the end of the term.
Class 4 have been having football lessons with Mr Moria. They have been learning skills and tactics to help them improve their defending and attacking.
